Fantasies, dreams or unreal realities - which are the paintings of the artist Mariya Ignatova? Everyone interprets them in their own way. It is as if through these paintings Mariya wants to tell us not to fear the boundless Universe, but to fly towards it, enjoy life in every way and find love.
Born and brought up in Rousse, Bulgaria, since childhood Mariya Ignatova studies and adores all aspects of Mathematics. She studied exact sciences and acquired a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering and she worked in this field for a long time. Later on, she engaged herself in the field of business, where she studied economics and also acquired a Masters Degree in Foreign Trade.

Meanwhile she kept on dreaming and her encounter with her teacher, the artist Stefka Baldjieva, in February 2004, turned out to be fateful. The creator of the unique Bulgarian school of nontraditional painting (using one's fingers to lay oil paints directly on the canvas) showed Mariya that she had a talent and so her dream to become an artist finally came true.

Mariya Ignatova is a member of the Creative Union of the Professional Artists of Russia. In 2010 she also became a member of the International Union Art of Inspiration, USA.
Mariya Ignatova is a member of Inner Wheel club, a non-profit charity organization, which is the biggest female organization in the world. Economic and Social Council of the United Nations) confirmed the admittance of Inner Wheel on the Roster of organization section.
